What Magic Link Customer Access Is

Magic Link Customer Access is an Aubern LLC service flow that sends a caller a one-time SMS text message containing a secure authenticated access link after the caller verbally agrees to receive that text during an inbound phone call.

The link opens an Aubern-controlled webpage associated with the caller’s service interaction. The page may be used to continue an account, appointment, intake, billing, support, or service-request flow depending on configuration.

THIS DOCUMENTATION IS FOR MAGIC LINK CUSTOMER ACCESS ONLY. IT IS NOT FOR THE AUBERN MAGICIAN DEMO OR ANY OTHER DEMO EXPERIENCE.

Caller Consent Flow

  1. A caller places an inbound phone call.
  2. The caller reaches an Aubern service flow.
  3. The caller needs or requests a secure link to continue online.
  4. The AI assistant asks for permission to send one text message.
  5. The caller gives a clear verbal affirmative response.
  6. Aubern sends one SMS containing a secure authenticated access link.
  7. The caller opens the link and reaches the associated access page.

If the caller does not clearly agree, the SMS is not sent.

Verbal Opt-In Script

The AI assistant uses this consent prompt before sending the SMS:

“I can send you a one-time text message from AUBERN LLC with a secure link to continue this service. The link will be sent to the number you are calling from. Message and data rates may apply. This is not consent for marketing texts. You can reply STOP to opt out. Do I have your permission to send that text?”

Accepted affirmative responses include:

  • “Yes.”
  • “Yes, send it.”
  • “I agree.”
  • “Send me the link.”
  • “That’s fine.”

Rejected or insufficient responses include:

  • “No.”
  • “Do not text me.”
  • “Do not contact me.”
  • Silence.
  • Unclear or ambiguous responses.

Actual SMS Message

The actual outbound Magic Link SMS is:

AUBERN LLC: Use this secure one-time link to continue your service: https://aubernllc.com/a/t/{token} Reply STOP to opt out. Msg&data rates may apply.

Message frequency is one message per caller request. The Magic Link SMS is not a recurring alert, advertising campaign, promotional campaign, or third-party message.

Authenticated Link Path

The standard Magic Link URL format is:

https://aubernllc.com/a/t/{token}

The token is the external access key. Internally, Aubern may associate the token with the call session, phone number, SMS destination number, consent record, expiration timestamp, and service context.

The phone number does not need to appear in the URL. The URL token should be treated as sensitive because possession of the token may allow access to the associated page until expiration, use, or revocation.

What the Link Opens

The link opens a secure Aubern webpage associated with the caller’s service interaction. The exact content may vary and may include account access, appointment access, intake, billing, support, service request, or other customer access functionality.

The first implementation may present a general secure access page that confirms the caller reached Magic Link Customer Access and allows the caller to continue the service interaction.

THE PAGE CONTENT MAY EVOLVE. THE SMS CONSENT SCOPE REMAINS LIMITED TO ONE SECURE LINK USED TO CONTINUE THE SERVICE INTERACTION.

Recommended Consent Record

Each send should create a record containing:

  • Call session ID
  • Consent timestamp
  • Caller phone number
  • SMS destination number
  • SMS sending number
  • Consent prompt version
  • Caller affirmative response
  • Actual SMS message body
  • Provider message ID
  • Magic link token ID or hash
  • Token expiration timestamp
  • Revocation or opt-out status, if any

Twilio Toll-Free Verification Description

This description may be used for the toll-free messaging verification:

AUBERN LLC uses this toll-free number to send one-time SMS messages containing secure authenticated access links to callers who verbally agree to receive the link during an inbound phone call. The link opens a secure Aubern webpage where the caller can continue the service interaction connected to the call. Messages are sent only after clear verbal consent during the same call. This is a transactional/customer-care access use case. It is not used for marketing, promotions, recurring alerts, lead generation, advertising, or third-party messaging.
